invite

on 21st – 22nd May 2018 to

the 3rd International Conference on

Contemporary Determinants of State Security

Civilization development followed by technical advances and globalization processes results in continuous changes and new threats to security environment. These new threats are unpredictable, violent, multidimensional, changeable, unidentified, and interpenetrable and affect all spheres of social life. The consequences of these threats may be life, health, property loss, political unrest, economic instability or loss of conditions for free well-being and development. The threats in question may occur on different territory, their range, intensity, time may be difficult to identify and the effects – unpredictable. This consequently changes the conditions for state security systems operation. Thus, states adapt to the contemporary security environment developing already operating security systems or building new ones adjusted to changing security conditions.

The determinants presented above gave birth to the idea of the conference which aims at exchanging views and experiences from state security research and organizing the debate on contemporary conditions (threats, risks, opportunities and challenges) of security environment.

The conference organizers invite all interested representatives of the academic world – from Poland and abroad as well as the entities responsible for state security – first of all scientists and practitioners interested in the contemporary conditions and challenges for security.

Moreover, the organizers believe that the Conference will be the opportunity to establish new national and international relationships and tighten bonds as well as integrate all academic world and practitioners dealing with security issues.
